The Christian message is that we and the universe are created by a personal God, that He is passionately commited to His creation, but that Humanity has distanced itself from God through sin. God's solution to the problem of sin is to take the responsibility upon Himself in the person of Jesus Christ, who paid the penalty once for all in His death on the Cross so that God can offer us newness of life when we embrace the work of Christ in our personal lives.
