Islamic Law

Islam is rooted deeply in a vision of individual and community moral responsibility. Muslims commanded by the Quran are to struggle in the path of God, to realize and defend God’s message to the community.
The development of Islamic law grew during the tenth century under the Abbasid dynasty. There are four sources of Islamic law. The first is the Quran , the second is the Sunnah, the third being analogical reasoning and the fourth being consensus. The Quran being the very word of God assured its place as the primary material for the law. Most of texts include principles, values, and moral directives for the Muslim way of life.
