People are often blinded by there own desires and because of this are unable to take responsibility for the things they do. Parents can be guilty of this, because they often put pressure on their children to achieve things that they wanted for themselves, without thinking about what the child wants and what is good for the child, parents can push to hard. This is true of Neil’s father in the movie Dead Poets Society. Neil’s father wanted Neil to be a doctor so much, that he completely ignored what he wanted.
