Dante Inferno

1. (A) I believe that the Inferno would be described as a mystical journey.
In Canto XIII, Dante has a mystical encounter when he and Virgil go to the Second Ring of the Seventh Circle of Hell. Virgil instructs Dante to snap a twig off of a tree, and then blood flows down the tree's trunk then it starts to cries.
The demons and devils that appear in the different rings of hell are one of the things that makes it seem mystical.
(B) One can see an example of corruption in the church, in Canto VII, this shows political satire. Most of the sinners in the fourth circle are clergymen, popes, and cardinals, public authority figures in the Roman Catholic Church who were money hoarders.
(C) I found black comedy in most of the punishment for the sinners they just seemed humorous to me such as, in the Fifth Circle of Hell, where the sinne...
