Eschatology- Heaven

Heaven in the life of the Old Testament is referred to as a religious place of eternal peace as it is know as the household of God, consisting of his obliging blessings. In the New Testament, Heaven is known as the place of Christ’s coming and returning, as well as the “ultimate home of the blessed who die in the Lord”. Heaven also has been defined in two ways through the “culmination of salvation history”, and the “state of heavenly glory” including the consummated heavenly glory. In the theory of heaven as the culmination of salvation history heaven is known as the state of contentment of those who have died in Christ.
