Chivalry in America

The time of chivalry is in the past. You don’t see too many chivalrous acts now
days. If you do, it’s probably because the man thinks the women is pretty rather than his
being chivalrous . It is bad to say, but if she had been ugly or old she probably would
have had to fend for herself. Contrary to what many people think, I believe that chivalry
is not, currently, needed or even deserved.
Women of the twenty-first century are very different from the women of the
Medieval Ages, which is when the idea of chivalry began. All women in our country now
have equal rights, the same as men, and most have a strong sense of independence.
