George Eastman invented the first camera in 1888. At the time it was one of the greatest inventions to ever be publicized. Suddenly people could capture moments that they wanted to cherish forever. They could look back at the clothes they wore, the hairstyles that were popular, and bascially they could look at generations from the past.
