Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, by Tom Stoppard, is an intellectual adventure where events that do not seem to correlate often reveal meaningful observations about human existence. “Whatever the features, words, and colours,
scattered on a page may be, the arrangement obtained always has meaning”, has significance in this existential literary piece. Surrealism, a concept that can be applied to situations where reality is altered, is another important component of this play.
