An Adventure in Scuba

I have experienced things in life that have given me unexpected pleasure, such as the first time I mounted a horse as a child and when I gave birth to my first baby. I had doubts and fears that made these new experiences frightening at first, but afterward I found them to be exhilarating and wonderful. This way of thinking held true when my husband suggested that we become certified scuba divers. All my brain could process at first was fear. I was terrified at the idea of relying on a tank to give me lifesaving air to breath or confronting something bigger than me in an environment where I could be considered prey. I have found though that scuba diving is not something to fear; it is just another experience that is exhilarating, wonderful, and full of unexpected pleasures.
