After 1760 many American colonists were concerned with the actions taken by Great Britain. Due to problems with the colonists and the economy Great Britain issues laws and taxes such as the Stamp Tax, the Tea Act, and the Intolerable Acts. Americans showed strong resentment to British rule and finally fought against it. Protests and action taken against the British government eventually led to the American Revolution in 1774.Aerican colonists did not stand for unfair treatment and they showed this in their actions.
One of the first British Acts installed was the Stamp Act in 1765. It seemed that Great Britain just wanted to get more money out of the colonies so they started a tax on all legal documents. Americans were furious because they could not receive certain documents or mail letters without paying money to the mother country.
