Account for the Bolsheviks seize of power in October 1917

There are many reasons for the Bolsheviks. It’s seizing of power in October 1917.
In Russia 1917, there was great turmoil. There was “dual power”, the peasants and the worker’s were discontent with the Provisional Government, which continued it’s war efforts against the people’s wishes, and it had caused food shortages, which in turn led to uprisings and revolts. The Bolsheviks leaders Lenin and Trotsky led these revolts; these two men produced mass popularity in the working class through propaganda and slogans. Trotsky, also organised an Army named the “Red Guards” to help overthrow the provisional government, as well as defending Russia from General Kornilov.
These are the many reasons for the Bolsheviks taking power, but the crucial factor is the provisional government being weak and not listening to the mass crowds who demanded change. Another crucial point in the overthrow is propaganda and slogans if it was n...
