A Streetcar Named Desire- Characters of Blanche, Stanley and Stella

In the drama A Streetcar Named Desire written by Tennessee Williams the characters of Blanche, Stanley and Stella were very important and controversial because they represent a distressed society by problems of class differences and sexual betrayal. The only character that give to us a sense of compassion and sincerity is Stella, because she try to understand Blanche’s and Stanley’s needs and she try to be patience and helpful. The Streetcar Named Desire came up with sort kinds of desires. Beside an incontrollable sexual desire, the desires of domination and power, luxury and richness, acceptance and understanding, and the one that never came, the desire of love, were present in the drama. Maybe this is the reason Blanche have to take then another streetcar called Cemeteries. This drama transports the audience into a sad, false and miserable life and shows every character’s fate to be in peril.
